Jody Ellis is a versatile and accomplished musician, entrepreneur, and professional based in the interior of Alaska. With a lifetime of experience playing music and developing technical expertise, Jody has built a reputation as a multi-instrumentalist and composer of world-class music.

 

Growing up in North Pole, Alaska, Jody began learning electric and classical guitar at the age of 14. He quickly became proficient in other instruments such as bass, drums, and synthesizers. With a diverse range of musical influences, Jody is known for composing pieces in soft and hard rock, heavy metal, blues, psychedelic, acoustic, soundtracks, and more.

 

Recently, Jody Ellis introduced his debut album, "Dissonant Vibrations EP." This project represents a deep dive into the captivating realm of cinematic rock soundtracks, where he weaves stories through music, and he is thrilled to share that the EP received glowing praise from a seasoned professional reviewer, who hailed it as "a really stellar EP!" and bestowed upon it a perfect 5-star rating.

 

In addition to his musical talents, Jody has an impressive background in business and technology. He is a former CIO of a multi-subsidiary finance and technology corporation, a science and business lecturer at technical institutes, and a senior software engineer at the University of Alaska. Jody is also a certified drug and alcohol treatment specialist and an accomplished writer.

 

Currently, Jody is using his skills and experience to focus on his music and the music of those under his label, Dissonant Vibrations, LLC, a private record company and recording studio based in the interior of Alaska.
